On Saturday 25th June, the cannon at the Royal Yacht Squadron will be fired to herald the start of the 91th edition of the world-famous Round the Island Race. It's set to be a fantastic weekend both on and off the water, with thousands of competitors enjoying the challenge of the race and a beer or two in the Official Race Village in the Cowes Yacht Haven.

With years of experience under his belt, legendary Mark Chisnell will be guiding us through how to get race day ready for Round the Island Race 2022, with two sessions available, one focused on the basics and the second for more seasoned racers.

NEW FOR 2022: COMPETE & COMPARE

We know many of you like to use the tracking system to compare your performance in the race with other boats of the same type - whether you're sailing a Farr 52 or a Hunter Impala! So, by popular demand the Race Tech Team have upgraded the Race Viewer with a new 'Compete & Compare' feature that gives everyone one-click access to the tracks of all the boats that match theirs (class or design type). And best of all, this will all work LIVE while taking part or following the race! The Race Viewer will be available from next week; see the tracking page for more details.

We would like to welcome you and your crew to enjoy time before and after the race at the 'Round the Island Race Village' in Cowes Yacht Haven and at the Island Sailing Club, which is open for all race competitors throughout the weekend.
