Berthing in Cowes during the Round the Island Race weekend is in very high demand, and where possible, we recommend that you make your berthing arrangements as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
All of the marinas have space for visitors that's allocated either through advanced booking or on a first-come first-served basis. The marinas generally try to accommodate as many boats as possible for Round the Island Race by friendly rafting up. Some specific details, with contact numbers, are included below.
Please call as you approach Cowes and they will do their best to help you. Cowes Yacht Haven will be working with the other marinas to co-ordinate berth availability in the river so do give them a call as you arrive if you have not pre-booked.

Vessels are NOT permitted to anchor in the vicinity of the small craft moorings as identified on BA Chart 2793. Any vessel anchoring in the vicinity of the small craft moorings is not only likely to obstruct the vessels on the swinging moorings but also foul the ground chain with the anchor being lost. In addition vessels must not anchor in the fairway or approaches or in the vicinity of the Trinity House Mooring Buoy. An anchorage is however available beyond the Folly Inn.
