It's been a miserable winter and summer still seems a long way away, but we promise that happy sailing adventures are coming soon and, in particular, the Round the Island Race on Saturday 15th June, which will be a terrific day on the water!

For many of you, it's a once-a-year, not to be missed jolly on a summer's day. For others, it's all about striving for trophies and beating your personal best results. It's a battle of wits over a complex course, involving changing currents, unpredictable breezes and challenging tides.

Don't forget that EARLY BIRD ENTRY DEALS close at 23:59 on Sunday 31st March, so if your boat isn't already entered for the race, visit the online entries page for all the information you need and the online entry form. Standard Entries will end on 1st June. If you're able to get your entry in over the next two weeks we would be really grateful, as it helps enormously with the planning and management of the race.

Boats without a current IRC rating certificate and wishing to take part in Round the Island Race (or other Island Sailing Club run events) can request a FREE rating from the ISC (rating system called ISCRS). More info here. There are 30+ trophies exclusively for competitors racing with the ISCRS.
