The date for the 2020 edition of Britain’s most famous sailing race has been confirmed as 30 May 2020, with entries open from 3 January 2020 (#RIR20). Organised by The Island Sailing Club, Round the Island Race has been a firm fixture on the global sailing calendar since 1931, covering over 50 nautical miles around the breath-taking Isle of Wight coastline.

This year, organisers are offering Gift Vouchers for the race which are redeemable against the race entry fee, the perfect last-minute Christmas gift for a skipper. The vouchers, in printed or electronic form, are available to purchase online at roundtheisland.giftpro.co.uk.

Dave Atkinson, Island Sailing Club Event Director said:

“The Island Sailing Club is delighted to confirm the date of next year’s Round the Island Race, which is a couple of weeks earlier than usual to accommodate tidal conditions.
