New Official Race Village announced for this year's RTI

This year we’re proud to announce the introduction of a bigger and better Official Race Village for the Round the Island Race, located on the Parade in Cowes. We’ll have a jam-packed entertainment schedule featuring live music every day, as well as a large bar that boasts popular beer and spirit brands, including Amstel, Moretti, Pimms and Prosecco 1754. The live music line-up will include performances from Essence of Motown and Britain’s Got Talent singer Derek Sandy.

A smorgasbord of delicious food will be available from food stands in the Village, including Nomad Street Food, Frostbite Bakery, Vegan Boys and the Isle of Wight Proper Burger Co, as well as stands from race partners Helly Hansen, Raymarine and Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
The new Race Village will also host the popular Raymarine Weather Briefing at 1800 on Friday 28th June, as well as the official prize giving ceremony on Sunday 30th at 1200. With free entry throughout the weekend, it’s definitely the place to be in Cowes, before and after your race!

Finding a berth for the Round the Island Race

With over 1,500 boats participating in the Round the Island Race each year, marina space in Cowes can fill up fast. Our official sponsor Chelsea Magazines is offering its top recommendations on berthing options for race day, which include local swinging moorings off Cowes, as well as availability at Island Harbour Marina, Folly Reach Pontoon, Royal Victoria and many more.

If you’re interested in finding out more about the available berthing options, visit the Yachts and Yachting article here. If there’s anything else you would like to know, then feel free to get in touch with our team at the Island Sailing Club on sec@islandsc.org.uk. We always love to hear from you.

Get £150 cashback from Raymarine

If you’re planning to invest in an AIS Automatic Identification System as part of your boat’s electronic system, our official sponsor Raymarine is offering £150 cashback for sailors taking part in the Round the Island Race this year - which could cover your race entry fee.
Raymarine is supporting the Round the Island Race organisers by encouraging participants to transmit an AIS signal during the race to enable more effective tracking and accountability. As safety on the water is essential, Raymarine’s £150 cashback offer is exclusive to race participants when they purchase a Raymarine AIS700. Find out more about the benefits of AIS technology by watching Raymarine’s short video here or visit: www.raymarine.co.uk/rtir for more information.

Standard entries close this Saturday!

If you haven't already made your entry for the race, don't forget to do so by the end of the day on Saturday 15th June via our online entry system.
