| The Race is a great family occasion for many of those taking part (both young and old), but safety is paramount. So while there's no age restriction on individual crew members, at least one person on board must be 18 or older (see Notice of Race clause 6.2). It's also very important that competitors read carefully the text of clause 16 in the Notice of Race concerning the responsibilities to (among other things) ensure that the boat is properly equipped, safe and seaworthy, and that the crew is sufficient in number, experience and fitness for the conditions. |
